More Updates...
- AcidSearch 0.61 will be coming soon. There are some fairly big bugs that have started to make their way into 0.6, and 0.61 will fix them and also provide some minor new features.
- I have also been working on a new solution to localizing, as that has started to go by the wayside in recent versions (AcidSearch 0.6 is only available in English and Japanese, for example). Hopefully I will begin bundling all the localizations in the next versions.
- There are some more major features planned for 0.7 which will make the whole overall experience a lot nicer, as well.
- My website finally validates as HTML 4.01 now (see the links near the bottom-right), instead of being a half-assed tag-soup mix of HTML4 and XHTML. Most of you won't care, but it's a step in the right direction for accessibility. Why not XHTML? I want the site to show people that XHTML does not equal GOOD. Don't get me wrong, XHTML is great, but just because A Fancy Page is written in XHTML does not make it accessible nor well-designed. In the end, my site is neither of these things, but it's getting better.
- I had a chat with Hao Li, developer of Saft, and he said he will be addressing the Saft menu-duplication bug that occurs when AcidSearch and Saft are both installed.

AcidSearch 0.6
AcidSearch 0.6 is out. New features include:
- SnapBack fixed (for most channels)
- New Search Channel Repository, where you can share channels with others
- Set the encoding for individual search channels
- Change the color of Find As You Type's selection
The Search Channel Repository is an experimental community where you can share your search channels with others. Feel free to upload any channels you may have and post your comments! There is no documentation for this repository yet, so please email me if you have questions. To open the repository click the "More Channels..." button in the Edit Search Channels window.
